The RCHN Community Health Foundation (RCHN CHF) was a not-for-profit private foundation dedicated to community health centers and established to support the health center movement through strategic grantmaking and investment, outreach, education, and cutting-edge health policy research. RCHN CHF sunset in 2022. The Foundation's gift to the Geiger Gibson Program at GW's Milken Institute School of Public Health supports cutting edge health center research and scholarship.
The Geiger Gibson Program in Community Health was established in 2004 to honor Drs. H. Jack Geiger and Count Gibson, pioneers in community health practice and tireless advocates for civil and human rights. It is a special initiative of Milken Institute School of Public Health at the George Washington University, and the academic home of the Geiger Gibson/ RCHN Community Health Foundation Research Collaborative. The Geiger Gibson Program is housed in the school's Department of Health Policy and Management.
Founded in 1971 to promote efficient, high quality, comprehensive health care for all, the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) provides training, technical assistance, and leadership development to support and strengthen health centers and advance the health of the nation’s most vulnerable and at-risk people and communities.
